Come on Mr and Mrs Pumpkin!

In the wonderous, amazing first edition of what we call 'The Veg Patch de Rothwell' we have been nurturing a pair of Pumpkins, grown from our very own seeds, in the hope that they will be ready for some prime carving come Halloween.

Now, this journey has been going on for at least two months, and although we're ever so proud of how big our bubbas have got, we're a bit worried they might not turn that crucial autumnal orange in time.

We've been doing everything we can think of to help them along, including putting them higher in the sunshine...

...adding a (crazy) Halloween cat...

... and we've even tried using a magic baby...
