A definite and long standing illustrator crush of mine has to be Mr Oliver Jeffers. If you are not aware of him, he creates the most beautiful children's storybooks, which even if there are no obvious children around are joyous to loose yourself in.
It's the almost unnoticed details in his soft and layered artworks that enthuse me most as an illustrator - the collage of found materials, a highlight of typography, the gentle whisper of a pencil sketch. Watching videos like this are a welcome injection of passion on a cold Friday afternoon in December...
